    My lady-friend and I had a blast here.  We had a late dinner around 9, which consisted of a nice appetizer of soup & some mini burger which were so money!!  (money means good)

    Graduated to dinner, where my lady had the Seared Ahi Tuna, and I went with Kobe beef ribs.  Man oh man..the meat fell right off the bone and was just soo good.  We paired everything with a nice bottle of wine to get our night going and that's when the good stuff started to happen.

    We took things to the next level when this place turned into a full on club.  DJ crankin' good tunes, people dancing and a 20 foot catwalk splitting the room.  It was fun and hilarious just for the people watching!  

    This is my first time on Yelp, but hopefully not my last, and it will definitely not be my last time at Bancroft.

    Overall:  Great food, very good service, excellent vibe and solid DJ.

    I understand how clubs - especially new ones - need to create a buzz by having a line outside.

    I received an evite to the Bancroft Supperclub opening for Friday; RSVP'd by the deadline and even called to confirm. I sported my Cubavera, my Blackberry, and even ran into friends at the entrance. Imagine my disappointment when the door staff said there was a SEPARATE list for those going to the grand opening party, and 'no one knew' when we could start coming in. Apparently they were only letting people in with dinner reservations. Of course, I understand this is just to create buzz and a crowd outside. However, I still think it's ridiculous to have to be made to wait so long and that this information wasn't told to me when I called ton confirm. Who knows, i probably would have made dinner reservations but know this place is on my blacklist. I will also make sure to only spread bad reviews of the place!

    When we got there at 9:30 pm, there was no one there, I could hear the crickets chirping from outside. It got busy later on but the vibe was terrible.

    The food was just lack luster and heavy. Had the chicken lollipops as appetizer, tried the duck confit, scallops, and creme brûlée. Nothing to write home about.

    Everything is over priced, both food and alcohol. when it came time to pay bill, my friends where scrambling like roaches when you turn the light on.

    The only good thing about Bancroft was our HOT waiter, undoubtedly he was more yummy than the food.

    I would not go back there, I don't see this place being open for long. Left broke and unsatisfied. :(

    This place was great!!! The staff and service was above and beyond!!! We walked in and they quickly showed us to our table and brought out a shot of warm chicken broth, this broth was so good I really wanted to ask for more.  Our waiter was great, I could not decide between two entree's and I asked him which one he would suggest, he actually suggested the less expensive one.  I had the crispy skin red snapper with tomato confit, zucchini and sea salted fingerling potatoes, it was delicious.

    I will definitely be going back.

    "If you build it they will come..."

    Who still has money in their pockets to party like a rock star? Someone on South Beach thinks you might. After the balls-to-the-wall schmoosefest at the Hotel Webster opening last week for the launch of their gold - diamonds - designer clothing shop and Caviar Kaspia Restaurant, I started to feel like the last poor person in the 33139.

    Then there was Pied de Cochon, then Ahnvee! Today Bancroft Supperclub is open with miles of marble bar top, indoor and outdoor lounge spaces, plasmas, see-and-be-seen lighting and a restaurant downstairs with a 20-foot RUNWAY. I assume you can spontaneously channel your favorite America's Next Top Model moment between appetizers and entrees and just STRUT!

    Tim Andriola from Timo in Sunny Isles (and Mark's Place before that) has been drafted to create an organic American classic menu for the restaurant. Timo's chef has mighty good stret cred in the culinary world so they got THAT right. But seriously, isn't this the off-season?
